Oh yes! Wireless midi has been out for a while but I think there are some problems causing them to be a little slow to be accepted. Take this wireless midi adapter for example:

It will be interesting to see if there are any interference. Also interesting to see if there are any latency and midi drop-outs. I believe these are the main issues with wireless midi.

CME has just released their wireless midi unit. i think the demo set will be coming in soon.

every thing wireless.

hopefully no interference problem.

I think the new generation of workstation
will have built-in wireless MIDI.

...maybe wireless audio as well! Each channel sent of at a different UHF. That will REALLY reduce the number of cables!

And why not? Since we already have wireless mics. Imagine a whole band playing on stage - totally wireless!
