sorry, i am not very good in vocal equipments, but

dynamic or condenser?

beta, ksm or sm? i went to shure and saw the mikes there, but i could not really tell which was better.

Or is the mikes normally provided in jamming studios or places where you people gig better?

It will all depend on where and what you are using it for. If you are using it for recording, then a condenser can capture more details. If you are using it for live, a dynamic will have lesser feedback and handling noise problem.
