mic for simple home recording

hi,
i'm looking to do some simple home recording. doing track recording as i'll be playing the instruments myself.

basically there'll be a guitar, a cajon and voice.

was thinking shld i get a mic for the instruments and another for the voice. alternatively i cld consider a condenser mic for them also.

there's also a consideration of choosing one tht has USB connection or the traditional XLR. if i choose the latter, i wld most prob be needing a small mixer too or at least an interface.

wat do u guys think? any recommendation for budget home recording mics?

A mic with XLR will most definitely need an audio interface to record to computer. So if you don't own one already and your recordings are for demo purposes at best, then go for a good USB condenser mic there are lots of them out there!

hey dere man..im using the Samson G-Track USB Condenser Mic. I can say its a really good mic as it has a built in audio interface in it. So far I've done some quality vocal plus acoustic guitar recording with it. I bought it for $300.I would really recommend it to u.

most of the songs there are recorded with the mic.
Do check it out.

ok guys, i've decided to get a recording interface liao. i'm getting the line 6 toneport UX2, gng on sale at city music.

now is to get a condenser mic. not sure which one gd, budget gng to be veri tight aft buying the toneport

If your budget is very tight and you still need a condenser, you may want to check out RODE microphones and even Studio Projects. The Studio Projects B1 is bang for the buck, really.

Behringer C2 pencil condenser mics, 2 pieces, with hardcase. filter. XY Bar + 2 mic clips. the last time i bought $110 only @ Hungbros. I got 6 (3 pairs). abuse it for anything , drums, guitars, talkback mics or even "rent" it to friends.
