Metal Sticks for practice ?

The metal sticks from sweelee have one very nice thing though... if you hit it against a surface and let it rebound into the air the stick will actually ring out. Maybe can drill holes through the stick, suspend it by a string and use as a chime.

It's not loud enough to be heard if you hit it... then if you get a set to make a line of chimes I just feel like it's somehow wrong.

hahah i dont fall into any of those 4 categories, so i will juz stick with normal wooden sticks. Using a vater pro rock stick, wanna try pro mark soon. Thx guys

Aiyah it's not metal enough, so cannot be used with double bass drum.

Metal sticks are good for building muscle and working on your stick control. The trick is not to play loud with those heavy sticks, but to play really soft.

Try playing rudiments on a solid table top and see how soft can you go. while trying to achieve that, you will be building your muscle on the up stroke, not down stroke. Once you are comfortable practising with those sticks, your hands will fly when you switch back to wooden ones.
