i won't call it best, but the line6 uber metal is pretty good at getting a variety of heavy tones. it's also pretty affordable.

some guy on youtube said the putting an eq pedal after your metal distortion makes A HUGE Difference

just try Boss Metalzone, Metalcore. EHX Metal Muff, MXR Fullbore.

ah? this is a distortion pedal? oh didn't know man

its so brewtal than metal that it will tame whatever thats before it. That alone, is more metal than metal already!

Anyway, can anyone tell what exactly define a metal tone? According to the band geetar sound of our favourite band? According to the frequency of the sound of distorted geetar signal or simply which ever pedal that do distortion and within individual budget?

true bypass means the geetar signal never pass thru any electronic component/circuit in general, between the input and output.

for the hi integrity buffer bypass, main focus is on the buffer bypass. Hi integrity or not, it just means the geetar signal will go thru a buffer circuit between input and output when bypassing the effect circuit.
