Merlion stuck by lightning

Poor lion..

"The Singapore Tourism Board said it is waiting for a full assessment from contractors before deciding when to allow the public access to the statue, and whether to erect a lightning conductor to prevent a repeat incident."

I think they should erect a lightning conductor...what's there to contemplate about? Safety first!

an astrologer told me Singapore was about to experience a very big tsunami or massive earthquake which affect the whole island, but thanks to the merlion kena struck,Singapore can avoid this natural disaster.

Being the icon for Singapore, people have said that this is a bad omen...more turbulence times coming. Lucky didn't kena Raffles statue in front of Singapore River, if not, both statues will be black! :)

That is clearly a signal for tough time, I believe so, and I certainly Mr. LKY, who always pay attention to feng shui and stuffs, will feel the same way. If you pay attention to the economy lately, the Asian Tigers (Taiwan, Hong kong, South Korea and Singapore) are badly hit on their economy, they are the 1st few country to get hit due to close business ties with the US. And this is just the summary of the whole Recession event that's happening right now.

We are currently still in Q1 March, I predict, by April or May, some of you will feel the pinch, especially the working-class adults and by Q3, ermm..I don't know if it'll get better. The Resilience Package announced by the SG govt in January have to be carried out soon before it's too late.

I"m not saying this as a curse, but it's a fact that we have to face, and have to be overcome.
