Melvin Tix: A clown’s guide to the orchestra!

Melvin Tix is a clown who can do it all! He will introduce the young audience to the orchestra, perform brass solos on a mini trumpet, trombone and French horn, as well as conduct the Singapore Symphony Orchestra at the Victoria Concert Hall on March 14.

Norwegian clown, conductor and balloon-making genius Petter Vabog, who plays Melvin Tix, used to be a horn player with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. He currently gives more than 100 concerts a year, delighting his young audiences around the world.

This concert promises to be a lively introduction to the different sections of the orchestra, and is suitable for 5 to 12 year-olds. No admission for children aged 4 years and below. Each concert lasts one hour. Pre-concert activities at 9.45am and 11.45am.
