maton cheaper in aus?

oh man....
i tout it might be cheaper cos maton is from australia? hahahaa

so which instrument brand is relatively cheap there?
thought of bring my guitar, bass, and keyboard there.. but... i have limited luggage allowance....

:(

Well, if you don't factor in conversion rate.. Then M.I audio would be worth it.
Bring as many things as you can, 1st hand experience. Bring even little things like guitar/bass strings, by the box, because it's not worth getting it here.

heh, gear wise and for brand new, i dont think there be much cheaper stuff we can find there.. throw in their gst at 10%, its will be worse

actually last thing one wud do, is to buy music gear there(brand new). Of course unless theres good lobangs for used stuff..

heh, for $500 to 1k aus dollar, one can buy a really used car to drive around. Prolly cheaper than buying musical instrument of known brand

i studied in Western Australia previously and i can tell you that stuffs in Australia cost a lot more there... i rmb a pack of Ernie Ball Super slinky costing A$19 there whereby i can get for below S$7 here... you do the math... i rmb going to Davis to stock up before i go back..

the same thing for guitars, effects and gears in general.. they are priced about 20-40% higher when compared to S'pore prices and that's not factoring in the conversion rate... and no.. most shops do not offer the straight 20% off list price that Swee Lee does...

i had to make do with a crappy Silvertone amp i got from Cash Converters there!! and still that cost me like A$60!
