Marshall JCM900

I'm wondering. Is there a pedal other than the line 6 products that can emulate the tones that come from this great amp?

Cheers,

you are trying to emulate a perfect amp head sound using some pedals? i dun believe.. hehe

definitely- you can't get an amp's dynamics from the tone, but there are plenty of emulatirs which are above-average.

what aspects of the JCM900 are you attracted to (before i mention the wrong pedals)?

The tones! I cant exactly define it as any one tone otherwise I'd be able to pick just one pedal that would (almost) surely be able to emulate it. Trying to find something that can emulate almost all the different sounds you can get from playing with the settings instead of a 'a-pedal-for-each-sound' type of thing. Something that can replicate the dynamics of the amp (but not really as important to me as the type of sound coming out because I've still got it in my head that with something like that, as you also pointed out, I'd be better off with the real thing) to a useful degree.

Another thing I like about it is that it sound seems full yet not maxed out when played at a volume that is useful to me. With most combos I've played (admittedly not very many), it always felt empty and lacking some wholeness if I used it with a clean signal.

An important thing is that I'm able to explore the possibilities of the "amp" to a fair degree of accuracy to the real thing.
