Guys just incase u didnt know, This delay pedal has 6 modes and has a tap tempo input. Which is why i'm so eager to get one... Really appreciate it if u have any info... Been eyeing for sometime

Man, just call Davis. It goes for 160. I've had some time with it... its pretty good sounding. The Analog and Tape echo are quite real. I didn't have the chance to test it at higher volumes.

Also, there's only 1 knob for delay time, unlike Boss/Ibanez delay designs, so you might find it hard to pinpoint a precise delay time. :)

tried it yesterday- not a delay fan but impressed nevertheless. 8) for $160, it's a definite contender for a value-for-$$ unit, next to Ibanez's DE-7.

haha.. Its a pity that theres only 1 knob for delay time and its unswitchable... One thing to note is there is a tap tempo input... So i suppose if i just get a normal footswitch i can use the tap tempo??? So i guess thats a plus point.

Speaking of digital delay, how does say the boss dd-3 compare to de-7 in terms of delay sound? I'm talking but the digital sound. I mean can one be superior in anyway??? I'm currently with a de-7 that my friend lent.

Cuz the de-7 is cheaper than the boss dd3 but with additional echo function.. The knobs are the same otherwise

Does it have the humming problem that marshall pedals have with adaptor?
Anyway, anyone know the price of a Boss DD-20?

Pier.

The DE7 is better at its echo function. Its digital delay is mediocre at best... does not have the bright, sterile slapbacks of digital delay.

The DD3 is well, a digital delay, and it does it very well. Its has less Delay time than the DE7 (800ms to DE7's 2.6 sec) but do you need 2 seconds of delay?! The DD3 handles slapback better.

the de7 is for those "warm analogy" sound delays, but if u want something more hard hitting type of delay go for the dd3.

The echohead is very tempting...hhmmm...anyone out there who has tried both the line 6 echopark and marshall echohead? How do they compare?

thanks guys for all the feedback...

yeap i dun need up till 2 sec of delay.
The de-7 that my friend lent me has really spoilt me and now i treat delay as an essential pedal when playing.

So considering these pedals:
DE-7(Using my friend's one now)
DD-3 or DD-6(expensive)
Marshall Echohead(Got tap function!!!)
Line6 Echopark(got the functions i want just that heard alot of negative comments)

Please advise me yea. I really appreciate it.

You must understand, the DE7 is best at its ECHO. Echo is delay PLUS reverb.

If you get just another delay pedal like the DD3/DD6, you might be disappointed.

One bad thing about the DE7 though... you can't control the amount of reverb in the echo. It can mud up very easily.

Thats why I sold off my DE7 and got a DD3, modded it with a hi cut so it can sound like an analog delay, and a reverb unit.

Main prob with the Line6 echo park is the noise... however, in later versions, line6 apparently solved the problem. So when you buy, do check the version of the echopark.

This is the thing that keeps me away from line6 tonecore... imagine you got a v1.0 tonecore pedal, after a couple years, its v1.5 or even v2.0, then what you going to do? Buy a new one?

Alrighty man..
line6 echopark
boss DD range
Ibanez DE7
Marshall Echohead
Digitech Digidelay

Line6 @ city music
Echohead @ Davis (shipment not in)
The rest @ Swee Lee... usually.

Call them for quotes.

Or you can buy an Echoczar. Excellent excellent, totally hyped up on many forums.
