i've been supporting man utd since i was 10. never looked back since. the rivalry between pool and man utd is this intense.
AND we won, big. we've got bragging rights. until the rafa-lution hits us, stop whining. if you liverpool fans talked like how i did if you guys won, i'd accept it. sure i'd be pissed, but i aint no sore loser. if you guys deserved the win, nobody can steal that from you.
and yes, i enjoy putting others down, fans like you and the other liverpool fans i know. i regret involving Plastic earlier, but not you.
yes i get a kick seeing the favourites win, for sure. i support them. you mean you support a team to watch them lose?

yup- this should be it. no use getting at odds with each other in this faceless realm. we have our club allegiances, we tend to get frictitious but hope it's nothing too personal. IMO it's not worth it...

+1 to Jeepers. The United-Pile rivalry is massive. It started way long ago. The Scousers always like to make excuses. Like always.
Aiyah! It's sports folks! It's supposed to be fun. A little banter here and there is always healthy. Donch take things too personal.
The fact is that pool got owned by ManUtd. It's as simple as that. Chelsea are playing really well and have an easier stretch towards the end. ManUtd really needs to win 1 and draw the other, for the games against Arseanal and Chelski.
It's still too early to cork the champagne.

Ur a drummer, Im a drummer. U ve been supporting manu since 10, so have I. We got a lot in common! hahaha
even after last night's performance, i'm still a tad apprehensive to say united WILL walk away with the title. but my support will never waver! arsenal were good, they were just unlucky, especially with chelsea's equaliser. exciting times are ahead, devils, and i just can't wait to see us emerge victorious.

i personally don't dig the whole concept of club-hopping. for me, it's a case of supporting man utd all the way, from since i was 8, but over the years liking players from other clubs too. i may love kaka, but when it boils down to a utd-milan match, i know who i'm for, kinda thing. i never based loving united on the existence of a certain player or players.

Oh well. Take nothing away from Man utd, they did play well, if not for the sending off, we could have put up a better challenge.

Let's put it this way. I'm a fan of club X. Club X is usually the favourite and expected to win every season. Few clubs are a challenge to club X. I like club X because they have good players, frankly I like the club for the line-up of players. I am happy when they win. I get excited when they score. When other people score against them, I get pissed.
I also know a lot of other people who like club X because they're good.
I don't mind when they go around proclaiming, "Club X's the best/No one can beat us/Club X forever!!" cause I share the same sentiments
But I start to feel a lil shameful when they go, "Club Y fans are pussies!/Club Z fans are morons!!/Club W fans are numskulls!!! Club X fcukin' pwns them pwn pwn pwn allzorzxzx!!!"
Even if I'm an avid fan of Club X, it doesn't make me an enemy of Club W/Y/Z. And supporting a club with an over load of fans with minds of 10-year olds really pisses me over time. I'm not saying all fans of Club X are, but all you need to do is to look around (or in the mirror as a matter of fact) and u'll realise how sickening this ego problem is, whether you're a fan or not a fan of club X.
And did I mention Club X was objectively, the best team in EPL? This really makes me wonder if the high volumes of new angsty 10 year old fan boys for Club X are due to this - ride on the wave with a larger than life ego and flaunt wins as "my team won" "we deserve it" "we we me me I I" as if they were in the team or the team belonged to them. It doesn't end there though, cause it even extends on to, "you are a pussywimp because you support a wussypimp Club Y/Z/W". If being a fan of a club involves getting personal and aggressive with other people who do not share common views, then, I think I'd be watching football not for appreciating the players and the sport but for being a dumb fan boy of a Club.
I'd use a better analogy more suited for this forum. Bands. Analogy - I liked Guns n Roses, woo they rock, Axl rose and his acid rock range and Slash for his phat tone with the awesomemest licks. I am a fan of them. I go around saying, "bah fans of band A suck, fans of band B are wusses". Today, the line up has totally changed with no common member except Axl Rose. Type of music is not exactly the same any more. I still go around fan bashing other fans of other bands and glorifying and worshipping Guns n Roses, why? Oh, well... ...just because their name's "Guns n Roses", and their leader is still Axl Rose.. My band pwns yours so stop whining. -

edit: one mistake you made was to assume that I'm a Liverpool fan from the start. I guessing that's the reason why you're vibrating in anger?
