Arsenal held again

United's domestic campaign received a welcome boost on Sunday when rivals Arsenal tossed away two more precious points in the league.

The Gunners' goalless draw at Wigan was their third successive stalemate in the Barclays Premier League after their inability to beat Aston Villa at home and Birmingham away.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said, "We're in a patch where we're not taking enough points, but we'll stay calm. We have a very good chance of winning this championship."

Another Sunday result may also have a bearing on the title race - Middlesbrough's FA Cup defeat at home to Cardiff leaves them free to host United in the league on Sunday 6 April. Boro's exit also means United's conquerors Portsmouth are the only top-flight team in the FA Cup semi-finals. The other teams through are Barnsley and West Brom.

Sorry, I think the last man rule only applies to the but I haven't seen that tackle, so yeah...

That was just the statement referring to one of the posts above, and is of no relevance to the match.

Yeah, but if Arsenal can beat Man Utd, they'll have a much bigger edge, both psychologically and in the table, and the same for Man utd, if they beat Arsenal.

I think that the Ref saw that Baros had a clear chance of scoring and Kuszczak brought him down without getting to the ball hence why he felt it was a sending off. Harsh yes, but that is football and what makes it so interesting.

Despite that though, you have to give it to Portsmouth for their defending which was nothing short of amazing!

we should be critical of under-performing teams, regardless of who they are... right now, MU is displaying signs of an upswing.

this just in, ben foster will make his debut due to a slight injury to van der sar and a suspension to kuszcak..

a great english keeper in the making..

Oh, I didn't know Foster returned from loan, great keeper. Should be man utd's number 1. and number 2 in England to Scott Carson
