Man Utd is unworthy of the FA cup this season. they can't pry open the Portsmouth defence, granted luck wasn't on their side. there's so much calibre in the team which i respect (the reason i bothered to watch the match- while playing my bass... 8-) ) if they deserve the other takings in time to come (Premiership/ Euro), let capacity do the talking.

Yep like I said earlier, Portsmouth's defence was excellent but I can remember 3 occasions when United managed to open up their defence.

- Rooney tries to round James but failed, Tevez got the ball but shot straight at Johnson
- Ronaldo's pass put Carrick through 1 on 1, but somehow Distin managed to prevent the ball from crossing the line
- Evra's surging run on the left side but his low cross was behind Tevez

We didn't take our chances and they got lucky with the red card decision.
 
You can talk about the past, but we can't. A year ago is the past, so is 18 years ago, or how long since Man Utd won the Uefa Champions League.
 
Still, you're out, makes no difference.
no more big teams in the fa cup, I bet this is porthsmouth ticket to the Uefa Cup.

Sorry, I think the last man rule only applies to the defenders chasing the opponent down because technically the goal keeper is the last man, but I haven't seen that tackle, so yeah... Let me take a look 1st :rolleyes:

Yeah. THey should win the match at Pride park next week. But they still have to go daunting places like Stamford Bridge, the Riverside and Ewood Park.
 
wow the fa cup this year aint a good one for premiership clubs.even middlesbrough got knocked out by cardiff.

Man Utd will win!!no doubt/exception.

that's the reason they must win as many matches as possible first & secure the summit. the plan is to have spare points so that they can 'áfford' to lose along the way (and still remain top).

if they win the next match, it'd be interesting to note that it's not the first time they play catch-up...
 
No, the rule only applies if you're clear on goal.

Do keep in mind man utd have to play Arsenal, that would be the deciding game, good luck :cool:
