Manchester City

Just 10 years ago in 1998, City relegated to third tier (then Div 2) of English football for first time ever.
2 years later, in 2002, they gain promotion back to the EPL.
6 years later, they became the world's richest football club.

Of course, this is a fairytale ending for a club which lacks history like how Giggs criticised them. They will never be bigger than the red ones.

With the recent capture of Robinho, big names were mentioned. Kaka, £135m bid for Man Utd hero Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernando Torres, Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho are on Al Fahim's wishlist.

Sure, it sounds like Fantasy football, but bring it into reality, you will see that, it's actually spoiling the great game.

who cares.thats why there were two halves of Manchester.one that plays real football and one thats buys championship trophies.

Actually, i think the Arabs are just a little too quick to want to buy. They shld take a lower key approach, like what Randy Lerner did at Aston Villa. Or else, they'd just end up like R.Madrid's failed Galactico project, which i hope happens. Too many egos in the dressing room won't be good.

Soon, out from nowhere, there will be legions of self-proclaimed Man City fans in Singapore.....the glory hunters.....like Chelski a few years ago.

well, whatever it is. the RED half will always be bigger than the blue quarter.

i also agree about the overnight fans.
so far, before this, noone i know is a mancity fan. now, i wonder how many i'll meet within the month. :p

haha the red corner definitely always bigger than the blue corner of manchester la..

but it'd be interesting to see how the season goes for manc and robinho yea?

Yea.........i think robinho will be an utter failure. He's inconsistent and too weak to handle EPL defenders; he's already been complaining abt La Liga defenders, who aren't that physical compared to EPL defenders. He'll die here. And abt the overnight Man City fans, i think that yes most ppl will subscribe to that, its a sad phenomenon. I've liked Man City ever since Eriksson came in but now i'm considering pulling my support.

yeah man. cant wait to see robinho in the EPL, its entertaining to watch him play

Lets flock to the team with most money.
Oh so much promise, but will it be just like another leeds united.

haha man utd fans. u guys are just jealous cause man city has more money to spend now. i mean come on la chelsea also became rich like cheat code like that a few years ago. it doesnt matter how much money a club has. i think it should be more like the other way round like cheap buys and big price tags lelong(sales). with mark huges the manager i am not so sure that man city can become real Madrid overnight. robinho i think would be like falling asleep in mark huge classes lol .i think that the most important person in the team is the manager not the players. and it seems like all this billionaire businessman like to invest in blue clubs . haha i hope it would be everton next lol :D
epl is getting really fun and interesting .

but still i think chelsea would win big this season still .. damn =(

It's been 32 years since City last lifted the trophy. Let's see this season eh.

And Manc refers to us too>.< It's the short form of Mancunians. The People from Manchester : )

why dont chelsea and man city buy trophies from the FA and Uefa respectively.so much money and do it the hard way.

Good point. Save money on players while making their clubs 'champions'. Ya right! All it wld do is to make more and more ppl hate them for their cheat code ways. I never liked Chelski but now i really really hope Man City don't become like them. But it looks like the Manchester-London money wars has just begun. Time for us 'other' fans to sit back, relax and watch the action unfold. I hope both sides become all the worse for it, as they don't deserve anything but to lose their supporters. Look at Newcastle. Respect for those fans as they understand what the soul of football is about.

well maybe its time we switch our televivion sets to the Coca-Cola Champions instead where real football is the only language they speak.

ahha my bad mate for the typo. just that im to used to calling them manc(see) for short it even goes into my typing ><

and yea! should really watch the coca cola c'ship its not much lousier than epl lor.. just that coca cola no star names or anything like that.

and i wonder why the owners of mancity never buy the whole epl since they're so rich. haha

i dont think robinho will do to well against british fullbacks. those tough-tackling defenders that gives wingers nightmares.

i think he lacks the strength. and no, im not saying he's a diver.

but he has the pace. so yeah, i agree with that it'd be interesting to see robinho in action.

yea, just like the throngs of manyoo fans who miraculously surfaced after their treble win, if we're going to bring this whole glory hunter thing into perspective. tell me you're a manyoo fan before their string of premier league successes in the early 90s then you're probably a true blue, or red, manyoo fan.

same same every time... pple just want to support winners and not losers
