Hmmm...okay, many points to consider here. Ok guys, I don't want to fuel this for too long. The pros and cons have already been highlighted so it is up to me to decide which one to go for. I really appreciate the help guys, you all have given me a better understanding of what a PC and Mac can and cannot do. Thanks!
Ha
For the price of MBP, one can get maybe, 3 PC laptops. Assuming both Mac and PC will crash eventually - it's likely one out of the three PC will survive???Just a tot.
kongwee : ReCorrectionCorrection, pc has 3rd party softwares that interferes BSOD for last chance recovery.
your pc laptop only last once a year for 3 years. you are not a PC user.
i used at powermac at a studio and the thing crashed on me like no one's business within 2 months. no games no nothin'. just DAW and itunes.
seems like it's a dead end debate haha

You know me too well. That's scary. As such, I will not do that now. Maybe next time - to dig it up and add some spice.usually at this point of time Guttaralpiss will post something that's linux...
guttaralpiss : anyway, I'd like to have a special request, i'm not too sure of your schedule in your personal life but is it hard to start recording on linux? is there a good FAQ somewhere which you can link me/us up? it's been too long there's been the whole "mac (logic/protools) vs pc (cubase/sonar/etc etc)" thingy. but i seldom get to hear much about linux/ardour cos most audio postproduction guys are musicians. not IT guys.
