Hey guys, my iMac (the older white generation) has a dead LCD screen on the right side i.e. the screen splits exactly in half and the right side is black. But my warranty's long over and I'm thinking where can I get it serviced at other than the Apple retailers and distributors, who have conveniently quoted me a very deterring price of $1000 up. Let me know if you've got any good deals somewhere! Maybe your relative, friend, friend of friend's, friend of friend's friend etc, you get the idea, knows where to get this done at a "normal" price.
