LP or PUs?

Hey guys! should i get 2nd hand Epi Lp or upgrade the PUs on my JEM JR?
If changing PUs, should i change from Humbucker to Soapbar type on the bridge and/or neck? i'm looking for single coils too!
meh heh heh. If you guys got any nice offers, i'd be glad to hear them!

why turn to epi les paul when you want that single coil sound?les pauls dont come near a single coil sound.unless extensively modded.

if you are thinking of a tone upgrade, get a new amp instead (btw, what's your current amp?).

Its always nice to have another guitar lying around at home. Gives you a more broader range when choosing a guitar to play. Also, you will not be biased on over-liking or over-hating a particular guitar model.....

We don't even know what you're lacking... Can't get the desired tones? Explain? Maybe then we can give a more accurate representation...

okay, how about, i'm actually playing leads, tone wise, i don't know is it me or what.
I don't exactly like it. :/ want to have more.. choices in tones.
was looking at SD P Rails. so, yea. was wondering whether a second guitar or P Rail's better.
and when i play certain notes on the higher string together, there's some kinda. sound.
I don;t know how to call it but. when i play the notes individually, it's fine,
but when played together, they just have some kinda more buzzy/hummy sound added to it. is it called the hum?
and and, just another excuse for me to spend some money.

Then you need a new amp, one that has more clarity on the high chords. Cos you said when you played individually its fine... Might be cause there isn't enough headroom for your amp / cab.

it's called distortion

Face it... your itchy backside just want to spend $$$.:mrgreen: Nothing wrong with that though, but I suggest that before you spend anything, go find out what it is you REALLY want first.

Those notes played together (assuming is 2 notes), and you get this oscillating sound, basically is your tuning, or intonation. Either one is out, hence you get the tone.

From your posts, you don't seem to know what you want, or in the first place, what you currently have. You have a HSH guitar. It's one of the most versatile guitars to play.
