Low wattage tube amps recommendation

Hello everyone!
I'm a stranger to tube amps, having preferred solid state amps for years..
Now, I intend to get a tube amp head that can easily be cranked without the need for an attenuator.. Hence 5W and below amps would definitely be preferred..

There are no particular preferences, just the issue of budget.. I will be using a Gibson SG Standard and my entire pedalboard (hence the need for a pedal-friendly amp) through the amp head, going into two 12" Celestion Seventy 80s..

Here's what I have so far:
Blackheart Killer Ant head. Less than 1W of tube power, raw sounding.. Might be cheaper overseas, but locally it is around $280SGD?

Epiphone Valve Jr. Head. Everyone knows this 5W head. And the gamut of mods available makes sure the amp remains competitive in the long run.. Would cause around $350? Would consider this head to head with the Blackheart Little Giant (but Killer Ant would be preferred)..

Ceriatone BF Vibro Champ/BF Champ/5F1 Tweed Champ
. Would cost USD283 without shipping. Not truly a Fender fan but I am willing to appreciate anything! 6W I believe, might be a tad bit too loud..

Sound Drive Tube-7
Available locally, though I'm not quite sure of the price and of the tone. I am aware that Sub has it (and now I feel dumb that I did not ask him before writing this down lol).. I am quite intrigued though.. Perhaps Sub can share a few thoughts?

If you have any recommendations along with this, do tell me! I'd be interested in acquiring one.. Don't PM me with offers of your own units, cause I am purchasing it in about 1-2 months time.. I'm just doing research for now..

The next post is purely for viewing pleasure.. More mini amps with tonnes of mojo!

5w, 6 w or 10w, the different is not going to be huge. It will still be loud enough for folks at home to kaupeh, neighbours to go bonkers when turning up the amp for self pleasure at home at wrong timing

if iam in the shoe, i go for ceriatone. The controls on the front panel will be good when needing to tweak the final touch on the sound. The rest only mimimal controls. Heh, i is like tweaking when i need to. The rest, when i need to, i cant do much. And if using effect pedals, the best will still be having an amp to compensate/remove certain frequencies when needed if pushing up the amp and using pedals(gain pedals, modulation pedals whatever). Without controls, heh, even if the sound sucks, cant tweak much from the amp side and relying on pedal sides, its not going to help much

Of course unless iam boring person and needing only 1/2 sounds(and be happy till i cum), than i settle for the rest.

All, imho and according to my preference, of having choices always a good thing. The rest up to our imagination

Lol.. Don't need much.. I'm already contented with my amp.. I just feel the need to crank things up and get some tube sounding OD.. Currently most interested in the Killer Ant and Tube-7 for its simplicity bro..

Lol.. I need simplicity from an amp, complications from a pedalboard..

Thanks for your help though bro.. Still waiting for more input.. Anyways, the Ceriatone has 3 different "champs" going at the same price.. Not sure what's the diff though.. :???:

the Tube 7 head is $290 8-) won't say too much here, review up soon...

after trying many tube amps, i'm still not giving up on solid state technology.

Thanks bro.. Looking forward to it.. Will call Mike before hand about 1 months time to check for availability..
Rather hear it in person, even after your review..

you should hear amps/ guitars/ pedals in person. appraisals are like foreclosures so that you know what to expect... otherwise, people who know nuts about Dumble amps would think it is akin to a Diezel when expletives like 'superb/ fantastic gain/ etc' are used.

True.. But there are some of the amps mentioned that I cannot try beforehand..
This includes the Blackheart Killer Ant (Yamaha does not allow testing), and the Ceriatone (TY does not have it, plus I'd rather ship it in myself since it is cheaper)..

Hence the reason for this thread.. I cannot expect to test them out myself, thus the reliance on views and sound clips at the moment..
