Hi folks, here's my latest compo, short demo as usual but my first one done not in 4/4 time
(NOTE : I dunno whether it's in 3/4 or 6/8 coz me no have music theory background lah :smt102 )
...appreciate if someone can tell me :smt006 arigato gozaimaz

And the first one where I actually 'played' the drums...at last !
(WARNING : No instant, ready-made drum loops here...ha ha)

...a bit dark and moody (that explains my current mood rite now :smt011 ), some harmonics  , a tiny bit of open string tapping :supz: ,
some 'lost phrygians' :smt022 and my other regular short-fused nonsense :smt101 hee hee

Lost In Translation

i thought it was nice and i liked how the different parts blended with each other.. keep up the good work -)

Nice stuff again. You seem to have quite a good selection. The only thing I wished for is if you had a different, more original tone - something different. Very good and accomplished playing and nice melodies too.

One of the better stuff here at Soft. Keep it up!

It's 6/8 :) My only gripe is if the song would extend, throw in a climax part and outro? Nice track nonetheless, keep on rockin'

P.S. Care to elaborate what were your tools used for this song?

Hi everyone, thank all of you for your input and comments...

ismaelc,hub4thailand,litford : Appreciate it guys...

shredrat : Alamak! I inspire you ha? Tomorrow must buy 4-D leh...

DazzLing : Just like what shredrat said, middle eastern = arabian 1001 (sleepless) nights...

edo83 : Yeah, finally a kind soul to tell me that it's 6/8...thnx bro! As for climax and outro, hope I'll figure one out soon.
I used iMac's GarageBand and it's plug-ins, run thru M-Audio Black Box USB interface using Ibanez Jem Jr guitar...

The-Warlord : Ooops, I hope my demo is not a total rip-off from anything like in JP's Suspended Animation?
I only listen to Glasgow Kiss lah...

RoRK : Bro, you brightened up my day with your compliments ! As for my tone, you are right dude. I've always got problems in getting a good, more original tone. It's obvious actually coz a lot of musicians also commented the same when they saw me play live. Hey, who knows one of these days we can collaborate on something (like you did with Shredcow, whom btw I really admire
for his tone, guitar skills & creativity) and maybe you can teach me a thing or two about tone...

Cheerio !
Yuz

Hi Yuz, don't take my comment on the tone too negatively. It's good as it is but i always like to think that things can be better. I always feel that guitarists don't make use of the left hand as much as they should to get their tone. We can all learn from violinists for that. Their left-hand action is truly an artform in and of itself.

Wanna collab? Sounds interesting. But I'm not such a good player yah. Shredcow is good but difficult to tie this dude down. Our collab is in limbo land. I actually finished it on my own - hehe. But Shreddy came up with a fe wgood licks but like I said, it's in limbo land.

Cheers & Keep up the good work.
RoRK
