Looking for THE right amp

if you are looking for those high gain amps and affordable, i would strongly recommend a Peavey 5150. its fully tubed if i'm not mistaken. there is one for sale now at the soft buy/sell section.

Yeah, I definitely want a high gain amp ... Mesas are usually out of the question cause of price, but that 5150 recommendation seems good ... Thanks ... How about the Peavey Tube Combos or Randall solid states at swee lee? Any idea? Marshall 401DSL? Carvin Legacy? Haha, sorry, just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these amps.

okay la i will help you:)
because i was in that (solid)state before. i owned the cube20x and just hated it..
that changed when i got my valbee. i would say getting a lower-end tube amp would be a good, safe investment that should curb your tone hunger for quite sometime..

Yup, this is really a good recommendation.

Dude, I have a mesa and valbee, and I am telling you, my valbee aint gonna leave me any time man.

You dont need a big wattage amp too get that high gain sound. The valbee, for eg, is good enuff. Save you lotsa money from your 2k, and get a good driver pedal to drive up that built-in distortion of the valbee, some more got efx loop. Trust me - you dont want to crank a big wattage beast all the time, and when the night comes, you know which amp's your best buddy.

Give the valbee a try.
