In partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), The Music Society, Singapore (SGMUSO) are pleased to announce a joint initiative that provides for Singapore recording artists the opportunity to showcase their music in Sydney, Australia.
We would like to invite all SGMUSO members who are Singaporean or PR to submit their application of their artist/band or as a collaborative act, for an opportunity to perform at the SGMUSO Showcase held in conjunction with Singapore: Inside Out (SG:IO) happening 3rd to 5th November 2017 along Kensington Street, in the trendy Chippendale district!

Application: Now till 2359hrs on 10th September 2017.
Outcome: 2 acts will be selected for SG:IO Sydney & notified before 29th September 2017.
SGMUSO Showcase Info Session
An information session regarding this open call has been organized to provide additional information about the event, application process. Would-be applicants will find it beneficial to attend. Please RSVP via email to info@sgmuso.org.

If you’ve always dreamt of you or your artist touring in Australia, and needed just a little help to get there, this might just be for you!
Here are the ground rules for application:
* Read thoroughly all the info contained herein.
* Only artists/bands that meet all the following requirements will be considered.
* You may read the FAQs at the bottom of this mailer.
1. Applications are only open to Singaporeans & PRs.
2. All applicants MUST be SGMUSO members.
3. All applicants should have released an EP or ALBUM , or minimally 3 singles (released physically or digitally).
4. All applicants must be able to perform at least 3 sets (of minimum 30mins each) at SG:IO Sydney during the stipulated travel duration
5. All applicants must commit to organising at least one more show of their own in another venue during the trip.
6. All applicants must be able to travel to Sydney from 2–6 November 2017.
YOUR COMMITMENT
Performance:
3 sets of minimum 30mins during 3 – 5 Nov 2017 at SGMUSO Showcase
(schedule to be provided by SGMUSO/STB)
1 performance or showcase outside of SGMUSO Showcase to be arranged by you
Press & Marketing:
Availability for local press coverage within reasonable schedule
Minimum 1 post per day on their socials with hashtag #sgmusosyd
Availabilty for foreign press coverage
1 day SGMUSO IG Takeover, minimum 3 posts that day
Post Event:
Completed event report within 7 days of return.
Post event sharing session with SGMUSO members
WHAT IS COVERED
Selected Expenses:
The following expenses, for the duration of the travel dates, will be supported up to specified limits for reimbursement for all selected acts for up to 5 pax:
Return economy flights to Sydney
Australian Tourist/Business Visitor eVISA
Local ground transport
Basic backline provision (for SGMUSO Showcase performances only, cap to be discussed based on acts selected)
Per Diem
Promotion/Marketing:
Inclusion in special SGMUSO Showcase brochure distributed at SIO Sydney
