Woodwerkz in Excelsior brings in Vintage guitars. You can get them to bring one in for you. Anyway the VS6 is a superb guitar (owned one before) give other more popular branded SGs a run for their money (Yup even the big one).

Is the neck a normal fat D-shape? Or 60s slim tapered neck?

I believe it is close to 60s slim.

usually for the SG shape type of guitars, the neck is heavier than the body, what u could do is replace the strap button to the horn, or get a leather strap.
