Hi,
Recently I was searching for a PJ bass to play around with.

Came across this bass from axl at Davis.

It has a relic look, so I found it to be quite cool, so I decide to give it a try.

the bass feels pretty good in my hands. Nice neck, plays well, has 2 vol knobs and 1 tone knob so pretty flexible. Sounds pretty gd too thru the small amp I tested it on.

I was curious and went back to research on this bass. The axl badwater bass actually got editors' choice for 1 of last yr's issue of bass player magazine and most reviews I saw actually rated it 8/10

so in the end I bought it and later on tried it on my church's mark bass amp. It sounded really sweet

aft all these praise comes the best part, the bass only costed me $225

Low price for a gd performer.

Can't really go wrong with that model. Though there's the Smash series SV is offering. Not to mention the budget series of basses selling at TYMC (of which the brand I can't remember at the moment). Both have honorable mention in my books

True enough those are value for money but I'd definitely prefer to wait patiently for a used unit to surface. I'm very pleased with my used SX Jazz bass. Consider SX Basses to for good wood and tones. I've swapped the pickups out for Toneriders Jazz Plus and damn I'm loving it. Fatter tones for me.

My plan is wait for 2nd hand, swap out pickups and we have a winner! Better than getting a Squier Bass any day for that kinda tone and price.
