Locking tuners

Hi bros,

need help here. I have a PRS SE and i realised the strings doesnt stay in tune very well esp after i use the tremelo. Read online that its a flaw with the standard PRS tuners that come with the SE series. Was thinking of changing to locking tuners, any to recomend? I only know of Gotoh tuners but wondering what are my options if theres any better and where can i get them?

Sperzel Licking tuners are quite reputable. Anyway correct me if im wrong but locking tuners only holds the string in place when you thread it through the tuner hole, doesn't have much to do with tunin stability. I think....

A: Check to see if your guitar is set up properly.
B: Check the number of winds around the tuning peg itself. Lesser the more stable but no less than 2 rounds.
C: Lubricate the nut.
D: Stretch your strings.
E: I don't think the most generic brands of tuners can fit directly into a PRS. You can only change them with original PRS tuners if I'm not mistaken.

IMO, the tuners on the SE are good enough for playing. You get what you pay for.

I have the same problem with my SE also.. looking at changing to Gotoh Tuners.. Right now after each and every song especially when i use the trem i need to check my tuning.
