I like the idea of that. Maybe James could think of a way for this to happen? But i think proper advertisement maybe be required for this implementation to be successful..

Any talented individuals in Singapore can be a great success n BIG either locally or overseas .the Big Q now is whether can they live up to the standards & demands from time to time? Can they meet up with the requirements n terms of the Recording Labels? To what i knoe, most artist and talents here can't meet up with that. the most is, u'll see them either Hot on their very 1st album, n disappear after that.

SHOW THE WORLD MY COUNTRYMEN, SHOW EM' WHAT WE'VE GOT!!!!!!!!!

lol..pug jelly broke up...maybethat's why?

pug jelly didn't break up. we asked Leonard Soosay if it was true and he told us they're gonna be recording their next album with him this year, and we ran into Sam at Baybeats and verified it. he said he went to australia to write music, and now he's back (presumably with a whole lot of music to record).

We should do something... to make singaporeans pay more attention to local music.

keeping to the topic..
i'm thinkin it's this chain > good bands > signed on by major record label > hooks up to radio station > DJ is then paid to play local music
as for tv stations, I think i've seen some last time on channel I.. Get Rea! or something. can't remember.. there was "Jamming" also. but it's so short lived.. cos all these revolves around the money talk + demand.

i've probably thought of utilizing the wonder of DivX codecs + Mp3 codecs = to all you out there downloading as much divx porn movies & bootleg cinema movies off P2P applications 8) and applying it to band live videos.. and thank goodness there's been more and more free filehosting lately. even the cost of webhosting has gone down.. so apparently it's made it possible to upload videos online for download. figured if there's more ppl filming + uploading videos = more exposure for gig organisers / and bands playing at gigs with their set filmed = encourage more audiences checking out the band+gig (there is no way watchin' videos@home will replace the real feel of being a few metres away from actual location) = more audiences encourages bands to play better/write better songs + encourage more gigs organised and someone's gotta start the ball rollin'...and it's like a cycle that goes on. I don't know, this is my P.O.V. what do you guys think, or is it a waste of time?
any "ball" players wanna join in the fun?

Hmm

Hi BluePrintStudios,

My band got a video of us doing 2 of our originals for Singapore Battle of the Bands 05. I might just upload it to our website for all ya'll people to view & comment.

Check out Creations' Dream :)

i think there are already many bands that have gig videos in their websites so not sure if the p2p thing will work or not.

Hmm

My band is relatively new so need lotsa comments (constructive as well as critical) to improve on our skills & stage presence. So if you guys can help feedback to us, why not? We're open :)

asd

wah, so people type soooooooo long. and its hurting my eyes to read.

anyway, P2P sharing is good. I mean sometimes you have to lose some to win some. so why not P2P sharing?? its just for the mean time.

UNtil s'pore is more open to local bands then i think we can then limit the P2P sharing. By the way,

BlueStudios GOOD IDEA MAN.!! and i think we can fork out some money to make music videos, maybe MTV will feature it PROVIDED THE SONG IS NICE AND GOOD MSUIC VIDS...

Right??
