List your Favourite Japanese Rock bands

anything my fellow shiina ringo fan
Tokyo Jihen is moving too fast for me to catch up with them. They have like 4 or 5 albums already and I've only started listening to the 2nd one. I prefer her solo days, but at least they still make good MV's. When are they heading to Singapore though?

i was introduced to them by a fellow friend and now hooked on them. its just something about them thats different from the rest.
and shiina sings with emotions. there was one live where she sang with desperation. that was priceless.
my band currently learning kabuki-cho no joou. haha

and dude the band you intro-ed me was sweet. haha. im saying their playlist link. haha.

Nice, that's a pretty crazy song. So who's singing?

edit: oh wait, is that an instrumental song?

no thats not a instrumental song. and currently no one is singing. our vox bailed on us saying his stressed with his NS life..

sex machinguns

LOUDNESS(Akira is SICK!)
~

Most of the other bands are like one song here, one song there, but these are my tops!

The bands I listen to are basically:

Shiina Ringo
Tokyo Jihen
L'arc~en~Ciel
MUCC(awesome band!)
AKFG
School Food Punishment(great indie band!)
Luna Sea
Some DEG stuff like Obscure
abingdon boys school
X Japan(actually I listen to hide, but it should be the same..?)

Japanese bands are not bad, some are really good in fact, but I wish they'd trash their costumes and make up. I like men to look like men.

To keep in topic, Galneryius (sp???) is pretty cool

Not all Japanese bands are into visual kei, silly dingo.
Just like not every Singaporean band plays indie rock.

Ops, just realize this post is more than a year old. Now I'm the stupid dingo.

I've only been impressed by ONE japanese guitarist - Gentaro Satomura. Sick bastard, his phrasing for shredding licks is bloody brilliant.

roninriot: A lot of times some statements need a bit of a patch, fix, and a revision bump. In those cases, reviving a thread makes perfect sense in order to release an update.

ON TO PIC: Only heard one or two..

Nightmare
TOKIO (rock/pop mah right?)

Hajime Chitose (not rock or a band, but nice folk/pop music)

ii desu ne~
