haha thats the only japanese rock song that i like. so far.

I hope I'm not gonna start a flame war here, but contrary to popular belief, JRock does not consist of 95% Visual Kei. Yet I wonder why VKei bands form more than half of this thread's listed bands.

I would consider bands like Asian KungFu Generation to be JRock. Road of Major is JRock. Some Do As Infinity songs are JRock. GO!GO!7188 is JRock (and bloody awesome JRock at that). Maximum The Hormone is somewhat JRock. Frickin' heavy JRock, but still JRock.

Polysics are too mad to be JRock (but I frickin' love them. I My Me Mine, I My Me Mine, I My Me Mine, I My Me!)

I have no hate for VKei, I love VKei ballads (like GazettE's Cassis for example), but I'm kinda tired of getting excited of seeing threads about JRock. thinking that they are gonna talk about the bands I've listed in my 2nd paragraph, only to see that they're talking about Laruku or Dir En Grey or Phantasmagoria. Sure, VKei is PART of JRock, but I don't really think Jrock's 95% VKei :(

BTW a rip of X Japan's Reunion Tour DVD has been uploaded onto Youtube. Amazing work considering that they've disbanded for about a decade, especially Yoshiki and Toshi (can YOU drum like Yoshiki when you're 43?), and for some reason Heath sounded better now than the time X Japan was still active xD. Extremely surprising ending though, best if you just check it out yourselves.

Another thing to note is that Japanese rock bands generally have really interesting bass riffs and solos. That's one I thing I like.

One thing I hate is how much they care about their appearances...
