Line 6 with Pedals?

Yes , im a noob, you'll be seeing alot of thread posted by me here in the Rookie corner.

i have a Line 6 Spider III 15 watt amp : to me its good ah , cuz it has those built in effects , used to own a smarvo and this amp is 100x better than the Smarvo. will it sound good if i connect a pedal to the Line 6 amp?
 
I don't really dig the Spider III 15 watter's stock distortion.. Sounds kinda terrible imo, but if you leave it clean and connect individual stomp boxes to it, it should be good.
 
Best to leave amps clean if you are relying on a dirt pedal for your distortion.

Line 6 doesn't have the best drive on their amps, but they're not THAT bad if you are utilising it for practice purpose.
 
I get the idea that Spider IIIs don't take pedals well. They're designed for the player to not need to use pedals. If you want to use pedals, you should perhaps go for a normal amplifier, rather than a modelling one like the Spider III.
