Hi Fellow Softies,

I just bought myself a Line 6 POD X3 Live and i have to say it really kicks some ass. Good looks, Good Sounds. Feel in love with it when i first sets my eyes on it. But I think one of the down points so far is the lack of a PC interface software. Like the Toneports and the other POD's that comes with Gearbox compatibility sure makes recording a breeze. I was told when i bought the X3L that the software is still in the works and would be released with a Monkey update soon. I ran an update last night and sadly there is no new version for gearbox for the X3L. Only drivers and firmware update.

Let's share our experieces, tips & tricks, reviews and feedback on new updates here on line 6 gear. Let's get the ball rolling! :D

Anyone have any news on the new gearbox & monkey that has compatibility for X3L? I think it's still version 3.5 .....

Cheers! :D

u just bought?? as in this few days... damn.. i already paid a deposit for resavation of a set.. and im still waiting for them to call me... got to call them tml le.. im in need of this monster...

i'll be back on this thread as soon as i got my feets and fingers on it :)...

Haha had it the 1st day it arrived in sg. Yeah sadly the software support for it isn't that spetacular at this moment yet. I appreciate the firmware updates though... I'm currently using it for jamming and performing purposes. I've tried recording using audacity and the results are quite good, but there're still occasional bugs where the monkey software wasn't working as intended with the Pod X3 Live.

eg the master volume on the pedal, though the manual says that the master volume does not affect the lvl of the signal being sent to the com via usb, it does... and the part where it says the monitor slider could be used to adjust volume levels being sent to the com, it doesn't... I'm not sure if there're work arounds but I'll go hang out on the Line6 forums for more info soon!

haha got mine yest and played with it... get the hang of it within less then a hour... veri nice i should say... set up is easy to suit ur taste of tone... compared to my previous GT8 which i have for 2yrs i nv even explored it 100% as therese too many useless stuff in it... but sound wise i could say straight without thinking tat the gt8 won over the x3l by a big margin... but through line-in to my comp.. it sounds wonderful and at a flip of a switch... it turns the output from amp to live PA... the sound was veri amazing...

haven tried recording yet... but i doubt i would have trouble like my gt8 where the eq have to be readjust as the treble is way too off...

well im currently using the "criminal" 5150 as my main distortion... one thing i found out tat the line6 cabs in it are veri digital... but the others are veri well done like the mesa boogie one.... so far nv encounter any prob... hope there wont be any :X

I got mine for $660 during the citymusic sale... haha I put my down payment like more than a month before getting it, but it was worth it!

$752 after discount without sale price.. :)... using this thing... had let me missed my gt8... :"(.... but its still a monster if u know how to tweak it correctly...
