Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeller

I have tried it at the citymusic store. Works much better than expected. The distortions do sound gd. Its really easy to use. Does not suck your tone. What not to like? Only gripe is that of all metal distortions they could model, they used the mt2 sigh...

Can use any up to 4 effects at once in any configuration. The 4 effects can be on at the same time and can be the same effect. Eg 4 delays, or 4 tube screamers. There are 12 buttons so can assign 12 different pedals at one time. Each 12 button configuration is one scene. Up to 12 scenes can be stored and each scene is instantly recallable!!! So for each scene it works like a stomp box. Want to change 4 diff effects at once? Have another scene where u have all the effects u want on. So while playing switch to that scene whatever u programmed would instantly be there. So in that way it works like a multi effect.

Tired of multieffects that u have to go through multiple layers? Heres one that only has 2. Select the type of effect, then select the effect. All parameters are shown on the screen so that u know what you're tweaking. Once u have chosen whatever effect or setting u want u can just move on to another button. Everything is auto saved!!!

Like any of the 4 button stompbox modellers? They're all in there! Both the dl4 had its issues fixed. The dm4 and fm4 is also included along with verbzilla. Each of the stompbox modellers cost 300+ new, and this is only 680. Also i used to own 3/4 of the modellers with vol pedal, tuner, crunchbox and wah. That alone took up a pedal train pro.

Want to run the drives at the front of the amp with modulations through the effects send/return? You can do that too. Need a wah or vol pedal? Its included as well just that u'll need a separate expression pedal for those.

Why don't i own it yet? I have mine on order. The first batch is already sold out. City music brought in only 4 pieces for the first batch. If u want to know more and how it sounds like do a search in youtube on the m13. Ive already posted links on another site so i don't want to repeat that here again. Also it has been raved about in harmony central forums and the gear page forums. With quite a few gigging/pro musicians using it now.

Very different. The pod is meant more as an amp modeller and is best used at the effects return section of the amp. Or with the use of a keybaord amp. Also great for direct live to p.a. The m13 is an effects modeller and is designed to be as close to a pedalboard as possible. So it works best with an amp.

Ahhh.. I get it..

I already understood that it is somewhat like the Boss ME-50, where it is a purely an effects multi-pedal with no amp emulators on board. Was considering the ME-50 for a long time, but after I saw that Line 6 is coming out with somewhat an equivalent (and being a Line 6 fan myself) I decided to wait.

Looks like the wait is worth it

A line 6 fan? That's rare! Hahaha..

Well.. It does look interesting.. Unfortunately I'd have to listen to it first to believe it.. I don't know.. Sometimes analog pedals just can't be beaten..

A lot of it also depends on what you play through. It does help of course that the m13 is plugged through the spider valve in citymusic. It really shines then. Then you'll want to get the amp too. More Gas Arrrrgh!!!
