10am, Thursday, March 21st 1991, Phyllis found her husband, Leo, unconscious in the room where he slept. the doctors at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton announced his demise moments after he was rushed there.
today we commemorate his 81 years of life worth living, especially when his
obsessive enthusiasm left us with a rich legacy of tools to manifest our talents & ideas.
upon reflection, i believe i have been infected with Leo's work ethics- obsessive enthusiasm- which made me who i am today, your friend, who constantly believe in sharing good (guitar/ bass) news for free. likewise, Leo didn't retire to enjoy the fruits of his labour, he believed in refining his creations to benefit his friends, on his own accord, free from financial obligations. "
I owe it to musicians to make better instruments," he said, for which we are greatful.
i started out disliking the Fender brand name intensively because i look at the wares without appreciating the
philosophy behind the creations. there's no merit in putting down a particular brand name because it definitely doesnt make you a better person.
guitars/ basses/ amps/ pickups- Fender did it all & conqured the music world single handedly. a toast to the great genius, our prayers will always be with you...
