Learning the Violin as an adult

Hello folks,

I am keen to learn the Violin for leisure/hobby but I just can't seem to find any reliable classes or teachers for learning the Violin. Can someone give their recommendations on where I can learn the Violin?

Mainly, I want to have some insight into classical music and play some classical pieces at least.

Also, is there any good strings shop where I can rent or purchase well made Violins?

My advice to you will be the standard advice i will give to anyone wanting to learn a new instrument..
Buy a cheap piece, give it a try by your own.. get DIY info from the internet.. have a feel of it..
When you decide after that you do like the feel of it.. then go for lessons..
Once you are to a good enough standard, then you go for better violins..

(You can't know the path until you step on it..)
