About Patrick Chng & Yee Chang Kang
With a line-up that hails like a who's who in the Singapore indie-rock scene, TypeWriter could easily be touted as an indie superband. Patrick has been in the music industry for the past 20 years as the frontman of The Oddfellows, while Chang Kang was formerly from The Ordinary People, 2 of the biggest bands in the 90’s. The band owes its musical influences to the Pop-Underground movement which includes inspirational songwriters like Big Star, Weezer, Wilco, Aimee Mann and Elvis Costello. TypeWriter celebrates the love for that great craft of passionate songwriting with their exuberant spirit, infectious melodies and honest words.
