law against occult

Actually I think yes there is. If there wasn't why the hell would people be so uptight about even discussing it?

I would say that 'it depends' on your kind of worship.

I'm not a Satanist, because I think it's as ridiculous as most other religions (hey - I am insulting you all equally at least) but I do know about some of the things they proclaim to do as part of their worship, for example, during a Black Mass, will copulate (go look it up) with a thing called a 'host' which I don't think I will describe here, but again, the Internet is your friend if you really want to find out.

This kind of worship activity will almost certainly qualify as illegal according to that weird law that prohibits oral sex and sodomy.

I don't think there are laws against the occult. But certain rites, "commandments" and rituals will definitely get you thrown in jail. Eg. Polygamy, refusal to serve national service and pedophilia.

it disturbs me how you know that off-hand, my friend...

lmao no there isnt.

freedom of religion is covered in our constitution anyway, as long as the actions of e religious institution doesnt goes against general laws

satanic as in juz a strong atheist stand or actually worshipping the devil ? o.o

im just debating with my friend, because law states you can practice any religion, but dunno satanism is allowed or not. Then hopefully i can 'in your face' him.

Whatever it is, im not a satanist.

k, so its cleared, no occult law.

it's 'freedom of religion'. not 'freedom of anti-religion', which is then 'non-freedom of religion'

the law protects alot of things. one of the things it protects is the ISD. ironically, one of the ways that the law protects the ISD is by allowing them not to follow legal procedures. no warrant, no charge, no trial. they bust your ass, period.

longest serving detainee of the ISD was imprisoned for 23 years, and then released without charge.

what was the question again?

From my knowledge.... Satanism isnt against the law (because.. they did not break the law by being satanist?). But certain acts might land them in jail because those acts breaks the law (erm.. human sacrifices and stuff, anyone remember adrian lim?)
Singapore isnt a country where religion mixes with politics.. so.. no, it is not against the law.

Technically, Satanism is not a recognised organised religion no matter where you hear of it as being one. However, it is not illegal either. This applies globally, including Singapore.

The government here ensures freedom to be part of all but two belief systems, one of them being Jehovah's Witnesses.

Btw, religion is politics, and vice-versa. The early civilisations based right and wrong from religion. There was no such thing as "politics" or "governments" then.
