Latest Music Trends

Anyone would like to share their views on the latest music trends amongst teenagers nowadays?

From what I know, it seems that more teenagers are now listening to K-pop music nowadays. It seems to get popular by the day. Even their ringtones are snippets of popular korean pop songs!

What do you think are the contributing factors that caused this?
Is it due to the recent opening of korean entertainment tvN channel on starhub?

Besides kpop, if anyone has other trends to share please feel free to do so thanks!

Most Chinese youths seem to be into J-pop, K-pop, mando-pop and all that stuff... For some reason I can't appreciate those musical styles, though I'm Chinese by race.
