it looks like shit too after some of the coating comes out... AND it is damn ugly with the rusty part and the coating...

The whole point of the strings is for the tone
Colour is a bonus
Many people tend not to use coated strings as the tone sounds horrible after a while.
( Even those with sweaty palms )
In other words the tone of coated strings die off and most people cant stand that. Thus to keep a consistent tone one might as well change new strings. regularly then use a long lasting set of strings which tone dies off

haha im not rich, i just happen to have chances with alot alot alotta guitars, and its been a fun time playing almost every guitar brand, well i havent tried really high end ones like suhrs. hopefully soon.
what i regret is not taking a pic of every guitar i owned for memories sake ):
everything else doesn't matter unless u play it nice.

1400 is freaking ex. im not sure if it was a wise thing to pay that kinda price for it. damn i would rather buy an orville.

i think if that was the situation.. i would rather get my hands on an ESP any day man.... better workmanship too. ( so far those that i've tried la. Eclipse I / II, M-II, edwards LP / alexi... just some that i've tried)

yea.. nothing against G77, but I was quite put off actually, that they quoted this kind of price.. and they said it was because of the rising US dollar.

it sounds really good now actually, its an old old MIJ strat copy, has that smoooth smooth strat tone, a great change from my Ibanez, this is gonna be an axe to keep 
oh yea another thing is that its pretty damn heavy, much heavier than all the stats i've owned, close to a les paul weight lol
