Just when i always thinks that lakewood are great sounding pieces.. no.. today it was thrashed with some larivee(s) i've played!
damn i was totally melting when i was playing the larivee om models at ranking.. they are good damn solid pieces of fine art! the clarity and defination of both the rosewood(back n side) and mahogany(back n side) are amazing!
oh the exact model number? haha i was too excited i left w/o remembering e model.. but damn there are only 4 pieces of larivee at ranking.. the 1st 2 e guy opened for me to try are already killing me!! damn it..
so y did i say lakewood aint as good as larivee now.. hmz coz they actually have 1 last piece of lakewood for sale.. its a dreadnought though.. but the sound is totally pissing me off..
overall i'll describe the larivee om models(that i've tried) have the following characters..
.Tight bass tone
.Non blarring high
.Strong mid tone
.Sweet sound even on very high and very low register..
.Extremely easy to play,kudos to their great string spacing, the feeling just makes me a pro suddenly!
.Low actions on a 99% straight neck with no buzz on hard strum!!(i guess they stole quite a bit from taylor for tt trick)
the sound wise are roughly like this sudo eq...
