I like both, actually, but I lean more towards either unlacquered or very lightly lacquered (dull, natural finish). Particularly maple necks. :mrgreen:
Its personal preference. i've owned guitars with both. dosent stop me from playing what i usually play 8)
Lacquered necks capture the "vintage tint" in vintage strats which is what they are best known for. Some, especially those with sweaty palms may not like the feel of one.
