Korg OASIS... anyone?

Hi,

Does anyone know anywhere can I find tips on using a Korg OASIS? Have seen enough of demo videos on korg website but heaps of other features not covered though.. Thanks!

If you have an OASYS, you should be sharing tips with us, not the other way round! I don't think anyone else on SOFT has got one!

To me, it's a big leap to play on the OASYS, since I have never played on a Korg before. I play on Roland XP-80 and JV2080 and use a Korg D12 digital recording studio for arrangement purpose.

Well said, A QUANTUM LEAP! here's two pieces which I am trying to compose on my OASYS. I often play whatever that comes to my mind, no rehearse ... often forget what I played afterwards. Hopefully will work on these pieces seriously when I have time..

Didn't play well in some parts, because was trying to find out what notes to "connect" next.. haha..

You do improvisations as well. Yeah, I often can't play my songs again as well. But well, that's the nature of improvisation. Do check out my latest project where we improvise sounds and music on a daily basis... it's a collaboration between me, eric from France and LDT from canada based in Thailand.

I must say the OASYS is a great keyboard to do improvisation, especially with Karma at your disposal... A lot of ideas come to me "naturally". Used to work on Roland XP-80, which you really have to play the bits-and-pieces yourself...

Here's my arrangement on "Merry Christmas,Mr Lawrence" on XP-80 + Techno Expansion Board + JV2080. Initially wanted to play just like the original..., but halfway through, 'creativity' kills the cat... ended up in a techno version 8O

This piece was done 4 years ago and recorded on Korg D12 studio.
