Hi guys
I've been looking thru the web to find a suitable midi-controller.
Me quite blur bout such as I've never used one (except one at the iShop Cineleisure :P) How's Korg's K-series?
There's this K61p, which p denotes 24 built-in effects. There's another one without, which is K61.
Any users here can share? Or anyone that has used it before, pls comment! :-D

Bro, as a KORG avid user and fan, I don't really recommend K-series controller, the controls are limited and the make abit cheap... of course it is highly affordable for that (perhaps that was KORG's target, to make cheaper affordable ranges to meet bedroom musicians' budget) but in terms of controls and user interface, it's pale.

If you want KORG I would recommend KORG KONTROL49... yes it's of an older release but still rated highly by future music magazine... Or the NOVATION Remote SL series ... these are reliable and highly flexible controllers with keys... if you want to go slightly budget, you can go m-audio Axiom series...

have fun! :)

yeah, i was sort of attracted by the limited controls :P COZ i don't really know how to use them! Or should I get it and learn how to use them? Seriously, those knobs and sliders, are really question marks to me right now coz I do everything on the software-end

Hey guys, I'm intending to get the K61P. Don't need all the knobs and sliders so it's alright with me. plus it has onboard sound. anyone here who uses one care to comment?

I bought it not long ago. Haven't really been using it, but well, it's only selling at $300 @ City Music during this december year end sale. I think it's cool enough for me as I mostly do my stuffs on my macbook :)
