im looking to get one or the other, but you know, just looking for input from you guys, so it'll be nice to have some advice from more experience inputs,

musical wise, i would play some blues, and post-hardcore stuffs, and dabble with some ambience stuffs.

so which one would be better?

much thanks!

you would want to know it's difficult (if not impossible for me) to coax a high gain chug tone for extreme music... however everything else is just great with the TLLE

but availability wise, unless it's a second hand one, otherwise, i believe city music does not bring in any tonelab LE anymore.

yea. no more tonelabLE. But tonelabLE has the warmth and organic feel to most of its presets but still requires tweaking. best but in front of a good amp. it can do mostly high gain stuff but it cant really do the jazzy type of tones.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But I feel most multi efx excel in high gain metal type distortion but suck at blues or jazz simulation.

The Korg and the Vox some how are similar in terms of functionality. AX is supper easy to use. 10 mins with it and you are off jamming. In terms of price, AX wins. Sound, pesonally, it does not sound too digitalised.

i had the ax3000g, and i can say that its probably one of the easiest multi-efx pedals to use. lorg has always been designing stuff thats user friendly...
however tone/sound wise, i prefer TonelabLE.

on a side note:
if u are truely seeking good tones outta the pedal, try to at least go for a boss gt6 (only 2nd hand now), it may be complicated to use, but its one hell of a pedal if u are patient enough to tweak the settlings.

actually i wont mind getting 2nd hand, and i think i do have patience to tweak the tone all day, but its just so mind boggling, on which one to pick, cause its like from what i read, there are like 2 seperate camps where some swear by the tonelab, some swear by korg. :S

I used to own the Vox Tonelab LE, but i sold off a couple of days back. Its not bad but if you are a beginner go for the KORG, as the tonelab requires alot of patient tweaking it. You can take an hour still you dont get the sound you want. However sound wise, Vox > KORG. ( correct me if i am wrong) :)

its rather subjective though, people might like the Korg more. korg has cooler effects :P due to the ESS, so can't really say which is better
