i'm still a little noob at the acoustic guitar 'cause i've only been playing solos, and didnt really care about those strumming stuff. so where can i start to strum some cool and simple songs that i can play to?

just ask yourself this question..
What songs do I enjoy listening to?
you can start off with anything man.. Zombie and also Linger by Cranberries..
Open Your Eyes by Snow Patrol..
Don't Look Back In Anger, Stand By Me and Stop Crying Your Heart Out by Oasis..
yeah.. well.. these were some of the songs i started out with..
most importantly, its what YOU wanna play..

How do you solo without learning to strum? Because to play lead properly you kinda gotta know how rhythm works, you might want to try highway to hell.

thanks for all...

thanks for introducing the songs. regarding the solos, i'm not in any band but i've been mainly playing The Strokes solos and have been getting tabs from ultimate guitar. so i didnt really care about the strumming part. this may be weird but anyway thanks for contributing. maybe i'll start playing oasis.

Songs to learn:
La Bamba (chicks will dig it)
Pretty Woman (chicks will dig it more)
Patience - G&R
Be with you - Mr Big

These 4 are enough to start you off... When you're more familiar with yourself and the guitar, then try More Than Words by Extreme.

learn some songs by clapton.if you want okay okay try seether-broken.this song can fetch you some girls.enjoy bro.

i dont think he means solo as in that way , cause its almost impossible to learn how to solo before you strum . almost . what he probably means is that he can play note by note . try the easiest song alove to strum , wonderwall by oasis

Well, I started off with:

Patience by Guns N' Roses
Dust In The Wind (Kansas Cover) by Scorpions
Wind Of Change by Scorpions
Up Here by Terra Naomi
Zombie by The Cranberries
Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton
All About Lovin' You by Bon Jovi

Maybe you could try all these first...

But, the best is to play songs that you really enjoy listening and wanting to play... :-) It helps tho'...
