Knob replacement tips please!

Hey guys, I'm planning to replace the vol/tone knobs on my guitar.

Anything I should be looking out for? I recall someone somewhere saying that I have to look for knobs of the same size or something like that....

Btw, where can I find more exotic knobs? Not looking for anything in particular but just want something that's not so conventional....Thanks ya'll!

Pull out some Vox chicken heads. Or how about those shiny ones used in audiophile quality equipment? All else fails, go find beavis.

Just looking to change mine, not really looking for anything in particular.....Mine now are those stale silver chrome kinds.....I was considering changing to those brownish-gold knobs like those on Gibson LPs?

The chicken knob idea seems kick ass too haha, might give it a shot
