Kick drum practice pad?

Hi,

i want to practice my double pedals at home without affecting the family living downstairs with all that thumping. anyone has any ideas? i was thinking about getting a kick drum practice pad, or like a spoilt electronic kit kick pedal..any suggestions? kinda low on budget right now..

some jamming studios put like one layer of like fabric thing then stick it there , still have sound lah , but then not so noisy ah . i dont know what they use ah

Ranking Sports stock bass drum practice pads....they're similar to electronic bass pads but without triggers built in....about $50-60 i think.

Accent music also stock some...gibraltar ones are great too....but about $90....
