Keyboard Amp. What's the fundamental diff from Guitar Amp?

Can anybody enlighten me on what the fundamental difference is between Keyboard and Guitar Amps?

Thinking of getting a Behringer keybd amp. They have this Ultratone series offering from 45 watts to 300 watts. The price range from 200-400 US$.

Any advice?

Keyboard amps are generally "flat", they can produce a very wide spectrum of sounds such as very low bass which a guitar amp will not be able to.
Also, there are tube guitar amps but for bass and keyboards amps, it is rare for them to use tubes, mostly solid state. Some bass amps do have some tubes though.

guitar amps are more suited for the frequency range that the guitar normally produces. that is, usually more mids and less bass. therefore guitar amps are mostly open-backed. if you play a keyboard through a guitar amp you'll end up having less bass.

also, i THINK the input impedance is lower to suit the guitar output levels. keyboards are capable of, and usually output much hotter signals, so u might risk running the circuitry too hot if u plug a keyboard into a guitar amp.

keyboard amps are supposed to be able to produce a wider spectrum of frequencies, which is why they are close-backed and most come with a horn or tweeter to complement the main cone. also, they come with multiple inputs as keyboard players tend to use more than one keyboard at a time.
