I was very fortunate to be invited to play for the Straits Times(official english language paper in Singapore) Athlete of the Year 2009 award ceremony this morning. The award recognises the top athletes in Singapore and it was really an honour playing for all of them.
It is also my first official public performance on the steel string guitar. I played Andy McKee's For My Father and Hard Rain by Kotaro Oshiro which blended in very well for the event. This video is a short version of Hard Rain. I used Kotaro's hand gesture and I was really glad to get the response from the crowd. I especially love the ending of the song...
