I went solo and took a bus to go for Fri prayers just now and was not offered a seat. All turned their faces away and buat bodoh. Even the bus driver. Hehehehe.

Its not that I really need the seat or anything like that. Its just a 15min bus ride anyway. But it’s the thought that counts. Right?

So… that proves it once again that the majority of Singaporeans are a selfish and ungracious lot. I’m not going to mention which demography these able-bodied passengers were from but I’m sure you’ll find out if you ever get a 'chance' to be in my shoe (one shoe only lah, the other leg cannot put on shoes LOLz)

Wished I had my camera phone so I could shame the lot of them.

Oh yeah…. did I mention I’m on crutches and leg in a cast? :D

damn bro
i feel your pain man
some people are just blind to the needs of others
making them disabled too

i hope you are alright man
what happened to the leg of yours bro?
take care uh,wishing you a speedy recovery

bro, You should have just Conducted Solat Zohor at home. No need go for friday prayer if you're in sickness/pain.

but also, Sg'reans, what to do.

get used to it. Not just in Singapore man, people are just like that, the last time I tore my ACL cannot walk, I just coulnt give a shit and didn't waste my time going anywhere if I had to take public transport.

The fact that Singaporeans tend to crowd at the doors of trains to enter as soon as they open, not letting people inside alight, I don't think this scenario's surprising. It's Kiasuism, no doubt - they only care about their own convenience. It's a simple fact of Singapore's people. Sad thing is, some of these kiasu people actually do believe in God.

I remember when I went to church and my father was driving, we saw this car sitting there, probably waiting for passengers since there were people inside. And we were waiting because there was an empty lot there and this inconsiderate fellow was blocking it. He saw us but did not move, and we waited for a while before we found another lot elsewhere. Utterly disgusting. We also encounter small cars parked in such a way that they are occupying two lots instead of one, very often.

Disgraceful. If I myself am like that, I'd rather be dead! And I'm praying that I'm not like that...

Thanks for the well wishes Lib.

i feel your pain man
No physical pain lah. That has past and gone. Its just heart pain to see ppl like that. Just a bloody inconvenience ;) this stoopit cast.

what happened to the leg of yours bro?
I'm not gonna bore you with the sorry state we're in so I'll just say it involves 9 men and a ball :D two weeks ago.

It just doesnt feel right after missing 2 fridays man (y'know what I mean). After all, I'm still *ahem* strong and not bed-ridden (not forgetting stubborn).

On the bright side, I'm excused from paying visits to relatives this Hari Raya. They'd have to come to me instead. Hehehe

aww man. get well soon. so can rock out, mosh, and all that jazz.

yeah sucks ah. getting into an mrt is like getting into a sardine can. and sometimes also, in the bus, people just wont move in. what, is there a cow at the back?

In short, get used to it man. Its the same when I'm taking the bus, idiots just doesn't want to move in when they have a space that could fit like 5 of them right infront of their face while ppl infront are squeezing like a can of sardines. Worse still, I'm standing RIGHT infront of the damn door which closed on me later cuz the driver also can't do shit.

Yeah.. I gave up on Singaporeans till I met some very cool musicians!
But nowadays some of them also damn stuck up..

But sometimes good deeds can backfire.. Offered my seat to this old dude, who asked for a fight outside the train, saying if I thought he was really old to be given a seat.. Some apek lah.. White hair already still don't understand.. Aiyoh..

stop complaining, just because you're temporarily handicapped doesn't mean everyone has to be nice to you. like you said, it's only a 15 minute ride. If you're searching for compassion and grace, maybe you're looking in the wrong places.

ha that's so true.
they just dont move in and rather stuck in the very front of the bus and somebody just stands in front the door and block ppl who want to get off!!

well i remembered when i fractured my arm and it was in a sling and cast. bus uber crowded and i just stood opposite this chick who looked my age. She took one glance at my cast and then looked at me, and i smiled at her. She then asked politely, "would you like to sit down?"

Wasnt expecting to be so lucky to be actually offered a seat, not to mention from a chick. I guess making eye contact and appearing friendly goes quite a long way here. And if you want ppl to offer you a seat, well, lets just say it wouldnt happen. better not to have any expectations, cos like what they say, the more you want it the more it wont come to you/happen.

Well

Just a few exmaple of inconsiderate people

try board the train at 8am n u realise peopl ekeep pushing here n there especially those aunties really cannot tahan their attitude always keep pushing here n there

till this time i got to admit i was quite rude
this aunty liketo rush behind me so i fed up stick my leg at the side n she fell off....she deserve it.
oh yar the aunty was only 30 plus but oh well i dont give face one.

I kinda agree with dir. You are just temporarily disabled, plus as a healthy young man you shouldn't complain about people no giving you seats, learn to live with it for awhile.

Aww man that must really suck. The next time you want to offer your seat, do what I do these days: Just stand up, glance at the guy, and then stand elsewhere. If he really wants it, he'll go sit down. If he doesn't, then let it be.

FYI, scored a hat-trick of leg injuries (all with cast) and I still take public transport. Heheheh.

And its all the same all of the time.

So, like I said i dont NEED nor asked for a seat (read the first post)

It just pains me that ppl are thoughtless. And that is what I'm complaining about.
Geez.

yeap! welcome to singapore. normally when i board busses and the people behind or next to me try to squeeze or rush to board; i'd just stand there and block the entrance. seriously, people need to learn to chillax. the bus isn't gonna go off without you eh?
