JUNK magazine

interesting that a malaysia mag should put so much coverage in singapore's band. nevermind, it is good exposure.

JUNK covers acts from the 5 countries in the region: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand. So it's all goot lah!!!

Like the gahmen always say, think global/ regional, act local hor?

For my worth I recommend Seven Collar T shirt, they have the best album I ever listened to!

Anyway, this magazine sounds cool, but I didn't see it in Borders. Will grab it when I see it. $7 with free cd somemore!

Local music?

Saw the first issue, and if you call these bands local, the earth is definately getting smaller: The Killers, Fergie, Robbie Williams, Outkast, Slayer, Paris Hilton, Evanescence, Wade Robson, Paul, Epworth, Bruce Springsteen and Kylie Minogue, We Are Scientists, Artic Monkeys, Mogwai, Jurassic 5, and John Fleming... with only minor coverage to local music...
Local Bands? Where the hell is a local magazine with coverage of local bands? Sounds like it's time for a Revolt! (watch this space)
peace out...

It has always been branded as a music magazine with a STRONG focus on regional music. Not a local mag, which btw JUNK is based in KL.

ah... ok, coz i was really looking forward to reading whats going on regionally, then to see all those Lime Magazine stars, disappointed to say the least. But the Cd waas damn good.

Well, hopefully, they'd increase the coverage of regional acts within the next few issues and not slip into what BigO was in the last few years.
