Recently re-listened to Continuum from start to finish again. Definitely my favourite JM album of ALL time and very likely has a place in my top 10 albums of all time.
This solo is one that isn't overly technical or anything, but I love the note choice and the feel of it.
Hoping to increase the frequency of these videos! Will prolly be able to release one per week
Running my Fender BLK 1 John Mayer Signature Strat into the Axe Fx II and direct into my MacBook Pro. It's a completely stock piece with the Big Dipper pickups.
Using a patch I created on the Axe Fx II. Using the Vibrato Verb amp model with a tad of grit from one of the drive pedals. The amp is based on the Fender Vibratoverb amp.
Also, finally got my new camera up and running for video! Had some issues with the focusing (Really wish it had a flip LCD.. but I finally managed to get the focus right).. Color corrected the footage in Final Cut Pro X and toyed around with some effects.
