What do you guys think?

Do you think its really worth the money?

Personally I feel the price is abit higher then whats expected

Haha Bro, if that's the case, then i think most of the prices here are higher than we expect them to be. We Singaporeans just want the best items to go for ridiculously low prices then we say it's a good deal. Haha

Do u like it?

U do?
buy
u don't
don't buy

Its personal preference. Personally i like the jekyl side. Nice overdrive.
Never liked the hyde (distortion) side. Its way too smooth for my taste. Can't seem to get a gd crunch. There are a few atrists who really like this though. Hop down to visual sound website to check who they are.

I kept the pedal for a few months b4 i sold it. Make sure u try it b4 u buy. If you're thinking of getting this second hand, drop down at g77 to try it first.

In terms of value for money? Gd overdrive 100+, Gd distortion $100+. This pedal combines both. So value wise its quite ok.

If you're not sure whay u want or what u like yet? Just buy first its quite a gd starter pedal. This was the first overdrive/distortion stompbox i owned.

What do the guys think? What do I think?

No.

Don't bother with it.

The distortion channel is thin. The overdrive channel is so fat, humbuckers just lose so much clarity.

I would withhold my judgment until I use a proper suitable amp to try the JnH with. If you're running into a small wattage practice amp, chances are it's probably not going to sound that good. imo.

You mean amp wattage affects pedals?

Sorry, I'm new to pedals cos I dont really play with em

I recently got a jimi hendrix crybaby wah and when i tried it at the shop it sounded ok, but when I got home it totally screw with my distortion on my amp....Totally no tone at all

Is this due to the amp wattage? Cos the shop's amp was way lot bigger then mine....mine's just a small 10 watt amp

it has to do with speaker cone size too... run it into a 8" and u'll get shit sound... try it with a 12" and there'll be quite a diff... provided the amp's same for both...

Without being overly technical or having to quote evidence, let's just say that the difference is like contrasting playing music on your CD player and playing it in a disco floor. And with manufacturers having different interpretations of wattage, the best thing you can do is try out the pedal with multiple amps.

If you are interested to know, do some testing yourself, and research on watt (wattage), headroom, etc on soft/google/internet. Otherwise it's just a pain to explain my personal perspective on pedals.

one thing to consider about their switches.
they dont hold up that well.

also when i was using one.
and using it live was a poblem cause in the heat of playing life
you tend to either press both the switches when u wanna turn off or on 1
side or hitting the wrong switch altogether.

hence, ive threw away all my dist pedals. except for my ds1switchblade
and moved to ampheads.
